Showerpower’s specialist experience of period properties was tested to the full with a recent installation at a Grade II listed property in Liphook, on the border of Hampshire and West Sussex.
The trade client, interior designers Cox & Co – whose work has been featured on George Clarke’s ‘Amazing Spaces’ – specified a number of ‘supersized’ frameless shower enclosures as well as smaller bespoke shower enclosures for ensuites elsewhere in the property.
With our project-management and planning experience in similar situations, we ascertained that the largest of these pieces of glass – 12mm thick, 2.7m x 1.8m and 150kgs in weight – could not be transported up the main staircase of the building.
To solve the problem, we organised a mechanical lift to carry it to the first floor balustrade, where our own team safely took it from there to the installation site.
Our part in the refurbishment was completed on time and budget and Cox & Co are delighted not only with our smooth project management but with the stunning finish of the frameless shower enclosures, which make a major contribution to this remarkable refurbishment.
Showerpower is based in Sussex and we work throughout Surrey, Hampshire, the home counties and in Central London. If you have a project in mind, or would like to receive a Showerpower brochure or a call-back, please contact us now.
